Illuminated Vocalists

Here's an old performance of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey performing "When You Believe" at the Oscars. The song is on the Prince of Egypt soundtrack which I guess was nominated that year (1998, I believe). The symbolism in this performance is so blatant that honestly I don't even need to explain it, but I will still explain it for people that don't get it.
A sun rises at the climax of the performance.
The two divas perform on a checkerboard floor as the choir behind them sing in a pyramid.
